Training Essentials

Dog Training is critical to a long, happy and safe relationship with your K-9 friend. Our training program works with using praise and positive corrective actions to teach your dog right from wrong. The key to this training is to use motivational PRAISE as a reward.

Dog Training

Many clients who come to us believe their dog's behavior problems are due to lack of training. This is true for some cases. If your dog jumps up on you , pulls at the leash or ignores commands, these problems can be solved by training. The "Heel , Sit, Down, Stay and Come" commands are the BASICS of dog training.

Dog Behavior Training

Behavior training is for the dog that becomes stressed when left alone, behaves aggressively (growls, snaps or bites) or dogs that exhibit fearful behavior are some examples. Many clients have well trained dogs - with behavior problems, such as a dog might walk beautifully on leash, sit and lie down on command, but still panics when left alone or will growl at someone who enters the home.

BEING THE PACK LEADER!

There are many things you can do in every day life that will begin to show your dog who is the pack leaders in the family along with obedience training. Pack leaders always control 4 critical areas of pack life: Feeding, Sleeping, Playing and Grooming. Notice these have nothing to do with "Sit, Down, Stay, Come or heel on leash! Behavior Training will show you how to accomplish these very important rules.

GET INVOLVED!

The client is critical to the success of the training process. You are the one that has to live with your dog, not the trainer. It is absolutely essential that you feel comfortable with the process. Be open to changing YOUR behavior with regards to your dog...
